Dick Termes, an internationally-known local artist, paints on spheres which have been published in books all over the world. These globular canvases hang from ceiling motors. Each one is a complete world. As you watch them float by at one revolution per minute, you see north, south, east, west, up and down. The results look like large reflective bubbles. Some of the paintings are realistic, geometric, surrealistic or a mixture of all three. Termes uses illusion and impossible realities to make each piece entirely unique. He has painted more than 400 spheres.
